This whole writing process is still very new to me so it’s taking some time to get used to, but I’ve batched my last three days together since they were both uneventful and super busy. Contradictory but true. I’m going to summarize everything that happened together.

Financial:

  • finally found out how to sign in to my Roth IRA
  • contributed to my Roth IRA (yay!)
  • filled out my weekly certification for PUA (due to my second job at the restaurant that’s on hold throughout the pandemic)

Business:

  • LOTS of follow up and sending out samples
  • lead a group of people through their first few days of a cleanse
  • celebrated my best month EVER at the end of 2020! (ordered a Mac wireless keyboard as a reward)
  • updated my dry erase board to reflect my goals for the month
  • cleaned my office desk
  • helped new clients
  • celebrated another person on my team who had their best month ever!
  • ordered business supplies for both my office as well as a book project I have going on

Physical Health/Fitness:

  • went on daily walks (mostly to restaurants to pick up food and back, but it counts right?)
  • FINALLY figured out how to sign in to my health insurance account and paid my premium
  • also heard back from my insurance agent, who’s now going to send me over the vision insurance info so I can get on that (Adulting is so much fun)
  • planned the meals for the first two days of my cleanse next week

Reading:

  • I switched from “The Secret” to a fiction book — “The Queen of Nothing” by Holly Black -> I noticed though that reading “The Secret” in the morning gave me a bunch of hope, faith, and more abundance thinking so I will switch to reading that in the morning and fiction at night
  • Read a ton more medium articles on various topics I find interesting!

Community/Social Enrichment:

  • whenever I go and purchase something and there’s the option to round up to donate, I did that over the last three days
  • I donated $100 to a local charity that benefits children in the hospital during this pandemic, so they can have toys to play with
  • I supported local restaurants by buying food there (some I regret to be honest)
  • Brought over Chinese food to my neighbors since I WAY over-ordered and figured they’d enjoy it

Family:

  • spent all day before New Year’s with my mom and brother picking up different foods from various German stores and bakeries
  • spent last night playing UNO with the family
  • went to Gettysburgh with the family today

Writing:

  • wrote 2 articles and submitted both to two different publications that I’ve written for previously
  • writing this one here
  • wrote a blog post as well

Cooking/Food:

  • I fixed homemade cornbread on New Year’s Day (it was okay, the cornmeal wasn’t ground fine enough)
  • supported local restaurants, as mentioned above
  • tried a new German recipe my mom made — Kassler Rippchen with Sauerkraut and mashed potatoes (a New Year’s Day tradition)

Mental Health/Mindfulness:

  • honestly the walks and being outside have really helped with that
  • also looked up something called the tat lab which offers zoom group sort of therapy sessions on certain topics — codependency, love addiction, business stress, purpose, etc.
  • have made it a goal to at least try either going to therapy or these zoom group sessions to see if it could help me (want to give it at least a 2 month run)

Sustainability:

  • Started listening to a sustainability podcast “A Sustainable Mind”. Listened to a really interesting episode on seabins!

Bonus:

  • I started really getting into K-drama shows again. Currently watching “Vagabond”. Not sure if that counts as a bonus but it is what it is.
  • Took a complete off day from work which was glorious and I think I’ll incorporate one once a month.
  • I want to try latte art next!

I’m going to be writing a summary of this last week tomorrow with my realizations and lessons. :)
